Foam Party
FAQ’s
Is a Foam Party Safe?
Yes!
One Up Games On The Go is a professional operator and utilizes appropriate materials and precautions.
Foam parties are considered a generally safe and popular form of entertainment.
Facts on Foam Solution Safety:
Composition: High-quality foam is created using a solution that is typically non-toxic, biodegradable, and hypoallergenic.
Irritation: The solution is water-based and formulated to be safe for skin and eyes, and is non-staining to clothing and the environment. It is comparable to organic or natural soaps.
Respiratory: The foam itself consists mostly of water and all-natural foaming agents. However, individuals with respiratory conditions like asthma should participate with caution and may wish to consult a doctor.
Facts on Environmental and Venue Safety:
Slippery Surfaces: The primary safety hazard is the foam and water creating slippery surfaces, which can lead to slips and falls.
Recommended Surfaces: Foam parties are best held on grass, soft outdoor areas, or non-slip/rubberized surfaces to mitigate the risk. Glossy surfaces, like marble or painted concrete, should be avoided.
Electrical Hazards: All electrical items (including extension cords) must be removed, covered, or run away from the foam zone.
Drainage: Organizers must consider drainage to prevent water pooling. The foam dissolves quickly and is typically safe for grass and plants.
Clear Area: The designated foam area should be a flat surface free from obstacles, glass, sharp furniture, or tripping hazards.
Facts on Participant Conduct and Supervision:
Supervision: Constant adult supervision is essential, particularly for younger children (ages 3 and up are generally recommended).
Conduct: Participants should be advised to walk or dance, not run in the foam. Rough play is discouraged.
Footwear: Appropriate footwear is advised, such as old sneakers or water shoes with good traction, while flip-flops or high heels should be avoided.
Health Precautions: Individuals with severe skin sensitivities or allergies should consult a doctor or participate with caution. Goggles may be worn for eye protection, though the foam is generally non-irritating.
What will I need to do before you arrive?
Clear The Area:
We suggest that the designated foam area should be a flat surface free from obstacles, glass, sharp furniture, or tripping hazards
Recommended Surfaces: Foam parties are best held on grass, soft outdoor areas, or non-slip/rubberized surfaces to mitigate the risk. Glossy surfaces, like marble or painted concrete, should be avoided.
Homeowners are responsible for supplying the following:
Venue/Space: An outdoor, flat, and open space, ideally at least 20x20 feet, (MAX 30x30 feet) to allow the foam to accumulate and guests to play safely.
Water Source: Access to a water spigot or hose located within about 50 feet of the foam area, as the foam solution needs to be mixed with water.
Power Source: A standard electrical outlet within about 50 feet to power the foam machine or cannon.
Clear Area: The designated foam zone must be clear of all obstacles, sharp objects, glass, or exposed electrical items to prevent injury.
Make sure your guests are prepared:
Footwear: Encourage guests to wear slip-resistant shoes, sneakers, or water sandals with good traction, as the foam creates very slippery surfaces. Flip-flops and high heels should be avoided.
Clothing: Guests should wear lightweight clothing or swimsuits that they don't mind getting wet.
Comfort Station:
Towels for drying off hands, face, and feet.
A change of clothes.
Sunscreen and plenty of water for hydration, if the party is outdoors
